While the details regarding this upgrade are currently unclear and wildly unpredictable, the outcome is the same: Ghost Rider can multiply, which is an absolutely unprecedented update to his already overpowered power-set. This new update just speaks to the sheer power of Ghost Rider, that he can split himself into multiple parts–and color-coded, no less–with each being equally powerful as the last. After a drug-related experiment awakened his powers, he became a living. Earlier in the issue, the original Cosmic Ghost Rider fights the first copy to a standstill, despite it being only one aspect of his personality, implying the same is true for every other copy that’s created afterward. Tyrone Johnson is the dark half of the vigilante duo known as Cloak and Dagger. Regardless of the specifics of each one, the fascinating thing here is that they all seem to be equally powerful. The blue Ghost Rider is sadness, the orange is happiness, the white is fear, the green is potentially hatred, and the red seems to be confidence (though the last two are admittedly a bit unclear). While these new Ghost Riders have yet to be explored–as they only showed up in the last panel of the comic–it seems clear which one was made from which of Frank’s emotions. Out the other end, Castle came face-to-face with five more versions of himself, each one being an aspect of his personality that just got ripped out of him, effectively creating an ‘Emotional Spectrum’ of Ghost Riders. Something fishy is going on in Stephanie Phillips and Juann Cabal’s Cosmic Ghost Rider, with things seemingly far different for this Frank Castle from the far future. Bounty hunters and a revelation for our lead character. A giant surge of cosmic energy opened up around Cosmic Ghost Rider, somehow creating another black hole through which Frank was pulled. In ‘Cosmic Ghost Rider’ 2, Frank Castle might have lost his mojo. And by the end of the issue, it happened again. The trip through the black hole must have literally taken that part out of Frank and turned it into its own Ghost Rider. What’s interesting is that this new Cosmic Ghost Rider isn’t a copy of Frank, but his actual rage made manifest, which means the original no longer has that quality within him. When he came out the other side, another version of himself suddenly popped into existence, a version that seemingly contained all of Frank Castle’s murderous rage, but none of his tactical brilliance. A month earlier, Cosmic Ghost Rider got sucked into a black hole pursuing some murderous smugglers.
